8 Days Kenya Classic Safari itinerary
Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Amboseli National Park
Upon your arrival at Kenyatta International Airport, meet your driver guides from our company, have a brief introduction on the itinerary and thereafter embark on the journey to Amboseli National park.
Enjoy the great views of Mount. Kilimanjaro which crowns the park best for photography and stunning views. You may have an evening game drive to catch-up with animals feeding before retiring for night rests.
Day 2: Full day in Amboseli N/Park.
Spend this whole day exploring the beauty of Amboseli National Park. Wakeup very early and head out for game drives in the open savannahs. Game drives offer you excellent views of various predators hunting and grazers feeding at a close range. Expect to see animals such as Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Gazelles, Impalas, Cape Buffalos, Wildebeests, Zebras and Masai Giraffes.
In addition, Amboseli National park is home to over 400 bird species, which make it a best spot for bird watching. Among the birds in the park include African Jacana, Grey crowned crane, Goliath Heron, Rufous Chatterer, Hartlaub’s bustard, African swamphen, Spike heeled lark, Yellow necked spurfowl, Lesser flamingo, greater flamingoes and Long toed lapwing among others.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Enjoy a morning cup of coffee, check out and setoff for Lake Nakuru National Park home to the greater and lesser flamingoes. The drive time lasts for roughly 8 hours via towns, local communities and farms.
Enroute stopovers for lunch and refreshment gives you chance to meet and interact with local people. You will reach Lake Nakuru in the evening, rest and get ready for the next day.
Day 4: Game viewing & bird watching in Lake Nakuru.
You will have full day game drives in the savannahs of Lake Nakuru National park to see and interact with animals grazing, browsing and predators hunting. The park shelters animals such as Lions, Waterbucks, Warthogs, African Wild dogs, Elands, Zebras, Cape Buffalos, Giraffes and white rhinos among others.
More so, drive to Lake Nakuru for excellent views of the beautiful greater and lesser pink flamingoes. A combination of birds and wild animals make a complete package.
Day 5: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park.
Have an optional morning game drive to see some animals you may have missed the previous day, have relaxed breakfast at the lodge, check out and transfer to Masai Mara National park in south western Kenya. The drive time is roughly 6 hours via Kaplong and Narok town where you will have a lunch break.
Day 6: Full day game viewing.
This whole day is for exploring and enjoying the beauties of Masai Mara National Park. In the early morning, rise up and go for morning game drives to catch up with early risers. You will have bush breakfast and picnic lunch as you see animals feeding a few meters from you.
Drive to Mara River to see many animals gathered for drinking water and wildebeest crossing over. Masai Mara National park is famous for its high concentration of wild animals such as Wildebeests, Topis, Black Rhinoceros, African buffaloes, Thomson gazelle, Bat eared fox, black backed jackals, Hippos, Crocodiles, Spotted hyenas and lions among others.
For birders, Masai Mara National Reserve is home to over 500 bird species which include Kori bustards, Secretary bird, Sooty chat, Abdim’s stork, Silver bird, African Finfoot, Tabora cisticola, Giant Kingfisher, Saddle billed stork, Red throated tit and Ostriches. Other activities to do in Masai Mara National Reserve include nature walks, hot air balloons and camping.
Day 7: Masai cultural visits.
Today you will visit Masai cultural villages to experience their traditions, norms and beliefs. Traditional dances, songs and poems will be performed to entertain and introduce you to local life.
Travelers are allowed to take part in any of the local activities such as milking which make them feel as part of the community. More so, visit local markets to buy fresh fruits and hand-made crafts. Visiting local communities is an indirect way of supporting local livelihoods, which improves their standards of living.
Day 8: Departure.
Have an early morning cup of coffee, drive out of the park looking out for some animals you missed the previous days and proceed to Nairobi to catch-up with your connecting flight. This will mark the end of your 8 Days Kenya Classic Safari
