18 Days East African Adventure Vacation Detailed tour.
Day 1: Kigali City tour.
As soon as the agreed time clocks, our expert driver-guide will gladly meet you. He will brief you about the entire trip, destinations, and schedules, before heading for a rewarding tour around Kigali city; East Africa’s cleanest city. You will visit the local markets, and the famous Genocide memorial site. Lunch will be at the city, before proceeding to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Head to Nyungwe National Park.
You will start this day with a yummy cup of coffee, before checking out for a scenic drive to Nyungwe national park; home to over 13 unique primate species happily co-existing in one territory. You will see rolling hills, scattered homesteads, plantations, and locals along the way to the asylum of your cousins the chimpanzees, and many more. You will have enroute lunch stopover in Huye or Nyanza town, and then dinner plus a nap at the lodge in or around the park.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk experience.
After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration and briefing at about 8:00 am local time. The park rangers will explain the dos and don’ts while in the Jungle with the primates. With the help of an expert knowledgeable park ranger, chimpanzee trekking can last for approximately 1-6 hours, plus an extra one hour of taking photos, asking questions, and admiring the sight and sound of the chimps.
Other residents include; vervet monkeys, grey-cheeked monkeys, and Columbus monkeys among others. Thereafter, you will have a lunch break, followed by an exciting guided nature walk, which offers a perfect chance to watch the breathtaking landscape, enjoy the fresh air and several birds at the treetops. Dinner and overnight sum up the day.
Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
At daybreak, you will enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast meal, and then exit the lodge for Volcanoes National park. This is one of the top travel destinations in the world, harboring mountain Gorillas and captivating golden monkeys. You will have an en-route stopover for Lunch, before arriving at the lodge in the park in the evening for refreshment, dinner, and a nap.
Day 5: Golden monkey trekking and visiting the twin lakes.
After enjoying a tasty breakfast meal at the lodge, you will head to the park headquarters for registration, as well as Briefing. Golden Monkeys are one of the most captivating primates to lookout for. They are very beautiful, shy, and playful.
Tracking commences early in the morning for about 1-5 hours, plus an extra one hour to watch them play, feed or relax. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for lunch, and then spend the evening exploring the twins’ lake. The sunset means you will return to the lodge for dinner and a nap.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
Start your day with a delicious cup of coffee early in the morning, and then checkout for a drive to an impenetrable Jungle in the Pearl of Africa; Uganda. The drive takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, harboring the highest concentration of mountain gorillas at the Virunga Mountains. There will be a Lunch en-route, and evening arrival at your lodge in the park for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Mountain Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies experience.
On this day, you will go to the park headquarters for Briefing and document verification as soon as breakfast is done. There, you will meet other members and park rangers ready for the Quest. Depending on your tracking speed and how far the Apes have moved, gorilla trekking can stretch from 1 hour to eight hours, plus a bonus hour of observing, taking photos, and uncovering the lifestyle of these endangered creatures.
Lunch break follows a successful search, and exciting Batwa Pygmies encounters. Reports suggest that the Batwa are the shortest people in Uganda, and take visitors through stories and experiments of how their ancestries lived as gatherers and hunters in the jungle. Late in the day, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park – tree lion climbing tracking.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast meal, and then check out of the lodge for a transfer to Uganda’s treasured medley of wonders and most visited park. You will pass via the Ishasha sector, to track the rare tree-climbing lions. Hopefully, you chance one or more relaxing at the tree top by the end of the adventure. Thereafter, lunch will be at the same sector, before proceeding to the lodge for refreshment, dinner, and a nap.
Day 9: Game drive and Boat Cruise
After a lip-smacking breakfast meal, you will head to the wild in search of the different wildlife residents notably the lions, leopards, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, and several others; Birds such as the crested cranes, the Turaco, and gene fowls among others.
After the 3-4 hour experience, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon Boat cruise at the Kazinga channel, a perfect opportunity to see the hippos, crocodiles and several others in the 2-3 hour adventure. At sunset, return to the lodge for a sunset drive for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Flight to Kenya via Entebbe international airport.
Early in the morning, you will greet your intestines with a lip-smacking breakfast meal, after which you will check out of the lodge for a transfer to Kenya via Entebbe international airport. While on the way to the airport, you will stop for Lunch, photography, and to witness the magical demonstrations at the equator cross line.
Upon landing In Kenya, our company representative will gladly offer a welcome briefing and then drive to your lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Start this day of your 18 Days East African Adventure Vacation with a cup of coffee, as you checkout for a transfer to Kenya’s birder’s haven; lake Nakuru national park. The drive exposes you to rolling hills, and flourishing plantations, in addition to the view of the Great Rift Valley. You will retire for lunch, followed by a relaxed evening. Dinner and a nap are the last in the day’s activities.
Day 12: Game drive and Birding experience.
After breakfast early in the morning, you will leave the lodge for a rewarding 3-4 hour game drive across the park. Among the many mammals, you might chance to spot include; lions, several antelope spaces, elephants, wildebeest, and Buffaloes among others. A lunch break comes in after the hours, before heading to the lake shoreline to watch at the flamingoes, accompanied by several other birds, playing or relaxing. End the day with a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park.
Brighten your day with a delicious breakfast, as you checkout of the lodge for a transfer to Masai Mara national park – a co-host of the annual wildebeest migration, and home to Africa’s Big five (lions, elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes and leopards). You will stopover at the magnificent Great Rift Valley for photos, before proceeding for lunch, and then the final arrival at your lodge for dinner and a nap.
Day 14: Full-day game drive.
This entire day will be spent roaming around the different territories of Masai Mara reserve, in search of the different rare residents feeding, relaxing or hunting, and the magnificent landscape. The park is known for its large concentration of lions, plus several other cats and mammals; notably the wildebeests, leopards, elephants, cheetahs and many more birds such as the ostrich, flamingoes and many more, plants and reptiles. End this day with dinner and a peaceful nap at the lodge.
Day 15: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast, you will join your driver-guide for a breathtaking drive to Serengeti national park-one of East Africa’s most famous tourist destinations, and home to the world’s renowned annual wildebeest migration. At the border post, you will get new documents, followed by lunch, before proceeding to your lodge at the park for refreshment, dinner, and a nap. The rolling hills, birds, local natives, and flourishing plantations will offer you accompaniment.
Day 16: Game drive and Masai cultural encounter
This is what makes the wilderness worth a mention. After breakfast, you will spend 3-4 hours around the vast Serengeti National Park, looking out for prey, predators, birds, reptiles, and the captivating landscape. On a lucky day, any of these residents can come your way; wildebeest, lions, Rhinos, Hippos, Leopards, cheetah, and Buffaloes among others.
Thereafter, you will have a lunch break, followed by an amazing cultural encounter with the famous Masai warriors. Drum beats will feel the air, while the ground vibrates with the energetic steps of these former herdsmen. After, enjoy a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 17: Visit Ngorongoro crater.
After early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a transfer to Ngorongoro crater; home of the world’s largest land caldera. En-route, you will stop for a historical excursion at Olduvai Gorge; a point where the bones of a man who is believed to have been the first in existence were discovered.
After an hour or so, you will proceed for lunch at your lodge in the park, before heading for a top of the crater Hike. At the top, you get to admire the landscape, glance at the crater, and spot several birds, mammals, and primates at their hideouts. End the day at the lodge with dinner and a nap
Day 18: Morning game drive and departure.
This is the last day of your 18 Days East African Adventure Vacation. After a very early breakfast, you will depart the lodge to the wilderness to catch-up with the early risers heading for grazing and also the night hunters returning from their night duty. Chances are that you will watch prey, predators, birds and many more residents of all different sizes and colors.
Some of the notable mammals you will look out for include; lions, wildebeests, leopards, zebras, giraffes, impalas, elephants among others. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for breakfast, before checking out for a drive to the airport for your flight.
