This trip starts in Kampala Uganda ending in Arusha – Tanzania.</p><p><strong>21 Days Grand East Africa Safari detailed itinerary </strong></p><p><strong>Day 1: Pick up and transfer to the hotel</strong></p><p>Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet and greet your driver guide from our company. He/she will guide you briefly on how the itinerary will flow, which activities to do and when. You will then transfer to your desired hotel in Kampala/Entebbe.</p><p><strong>Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National park</strong></p><p>Wakeup early, have breakfast and setoff from <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/uganda-attractions/murchison-falls-national-park/">Murchison Falls National park</a> located in north western Uganda. You will have a brief stop at <a href="https://ziwarhinosanctuary.com/">Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary</a> in Nakasongora, take some pictures and proceed with the journey to Uganda’s mighty park. The 6-7 hours’ drive via tea farms, banana plantations and local communities make this journey more interesting and fun.</p><p><strong> Day 3: Game viewing &amp; boat cruise to the bottom of the falls</strong></p><p>Today, you will explore the beauty of Murchison Falls National park which is Uganda’s oldest and largest National park. Wake up very early and go for guided game viewing to catchup with early risers hunting and browsing/grazing. Expect to see numerus wild animals such as lions, leopards, hyenas, giraffes, Uganda kobs, Elephants, Buffalos, Hippos and Waterbucks among others.</p><p>Return to the lodge for late breakfast and wait for hot lunch. In the afternoon, join a boat cruise to the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls National park. Experience how the strong river waters squeeze through a 7-meter gorge falling 43 meters down to form the might waterfall. You will also witness a permanent rainbow at the bottom of Murchison Falls.  More so, look out to the banks of the river for some birds and water animals seen resting lazily.</p><p><strong>Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National park</strong></p><p>You may have an optional game drive to see those wild animals you may have missed in the previous day. Have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, check out and depart from <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/africa-adventure-safaris/kibale-forest-national-park/">Kibale Forest</a>, the primate capital of East Africa.</p><p><strong>Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking &amp;Bigodi wetland</strong></p><p>This is a great day for <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/chimpanzee-trekking-in-uganda/">chimpanzee trekking</a>! Rise up very early, have heavy breakfast and with your packed lunch transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor Information Centre for registration and briefing on the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. The trek to meet these endangered chimpanzees start at 8:00am lasting for between 2-6 hours.</p><p>You will spend an hour the chimpanzees, learn their behaviors and have fun with your close relatives.  In the afternoon, go for a guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland, home to many birds and primates.</p><p><strong>Day 6:  Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park</strong></p><p>Enjoy your last moments in Kibale Forest National park! You may have a nature guided walk to explore this natural forest on foot. Have a specious heavy breakfast, check out and transfer to <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/uganda-attractions/queen-elizabeth-national-park/">Queen Elizabeth National park</a>. Spend the rest of the evening at your lodge in QENP.</p><p><strong>Day 7: Game viewing &amp; Kazinga channel boat cruise</strong></p><p>Rise up very early and transfer to the open plains of Queen Elizabeth National park for game viewing.  You will see lots of wild animals including lions, Elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, Warthogs, lions, leopards, hyenas hippos among others. More so, drive to visit different crater lakes in the park especially Lake Munyanyage for Flamingo birds and Lake Katwe for salt.</p><p>In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise at Kazinga channel which connects Lakes Edward and George. A boat cruise is a great chance to see numerous birds and wild animals at the river banks.</p><p><strong>Day 8: Lion tracking &amp; community walk</strong></p><p>In the early morning, rise up and drive to Kasenyi plains for the <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/blog/lion-tracking-in-queen-elizabeth-np/">experimental lion tracking.</a> With the guide of armed rangers and another team of researchers and veterinary doctors, walk through the plains to see the kings of jungle and how they live their social lives. In the afternoon, visit the local communities near the park especially the fishing villages to learn their traditional dances, way of life and economic livelihood.</p><p><strong>Day 9: Ishasha sector – transfer to Bwindi Forest</strong></p><p>This is the last day in Queen Elizabeth national Park! Have breakfast, check pout and rive to Ishasha sector in the south of the Park. Ishasha is home to the <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/blog/tree-climbing-lions-in-uganda/">famous tree climbing lions</a> which make it a not miss on your Uganda safari. Look up in the acacia and fig trees to see the famous lions resting lazily just above you.</p><p>You will then drive out of QENP and with enroute lunch drive to <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/uganda-attractions/bwindi-impenetrable-national-park/">Bwindi impenetrable Forest National park</a> via Kihihi &#8211; Buhoma route.</p><p><strong>Day 10: Mountain gorilla trekking &amp; Batwa community visit</strong></p><p>The great day for <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/gorilla-tours/">trekking</a> the endangered mountain gorillas is finally here! You will wake up very early, have breakfast and with your packed lunch transfer to the respective park headquarters. Register with the park officials and attend a brief guide on the <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/blog/gorilla-trekking-rules-regulations/">rules and regulations</a> of gorilla trekking. At 8:00am, start off a hike up and down hill through the jungle in search of the endangered gorillas.</p><p>The trekking time depend on the location of gorillas but ranges between 2 to 7 hours. On meeting the gorilla, Spend an hour in their territory company, as you watch them play, rest, forage and juveniles making noise; take pictures and have fun with your close relatives. In the evening if time allows, visit the Batwa communities to learn and experience their traditional forest life.</p><p><strong>Day 11: Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe</strong></p><p>Today you will have breakfast, enjoy your last views of Bwindi Forest National park and hit the road for a full day drive to Kampala. The drive is scenic and enjoyable via Kigezi rolling hills and Ankole farms. You will have various stops to buy road side foods and take pictures to make your trip more fun.</p><p><strong>Day 12: Fly to Kenya – transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve.</strong></p><p>Wakeup on a hot cup of coffee and drive to Entebbe airport for your connecting flight to Nairobi Kenya. On landing in Nairobi, refresh and join our safari guide for a road transfer to Masai Mara National park, Kenya’s top National park and home to vast population of population including the Big 5.</p><p><strong>Day 13: Full day game viewing.</strong></p><p>Spend this whole day exploring and enjoying the beauty of <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/kenya-safaris/3-days-masai-mara-wildlife-safari/">Masai Mara National park</a>. The park is home to numerous wild animals which include buffalos, Elephants, Lions, Zebras, Cheetahs, Wildebeest, waterbucks, Warthogs, Drive to Mara river where animals gather for drinking water.  Bush breakfast and picnic lunch in the middle of the wilderness make this experience magical.</p><p><strong>Day 14: Masai community tour &amp; transfer to Lake Nakuru</strong></p><p>In the morning, you will visit the Masai community villages to meet and interact with these indigenous people. Learn about their behaviors, norms and customs. In the afternoon, transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park.</p><p><strong>Day 15: Game Viewing &amp; Bird watching</strong></p><p>This whole day is for game viewing and bird watching in Lake Nakuru National park. Have a guided game drive to see numerous wild animals that call this park home.  More so, enjoy the scenic views of greater and lesser flamingo birds which inhabit this National Park. It’s after these birds that this park was named Lake Nakuru National Park.</p><p><strong>Day 16: Fly to Arusha &#8211; Tanzania</strong></p><p>Enjoy your morning sleep, have a relaxed breakfast and transfer to Nairobi for your connecting flight to Arusha International Airport.</p><p><strong>Day 17: Transfer to Serengeti National park</strong></p><p>Have your morning breakfast at the hotel in Arusha and depart for <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/tanzania-safaris/4-days-serengeti-wildlife-safari/">Serengeti National park</a>, through undulating Ngorongoro landscapes infested with vast greenery landscape, plateaus, romantic hills and vibrant homesteads.</p><p><strong>Day 18: Full day game viewing &amp; Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area</strong></p><p>In the early morning, drive to the open plains of Serengeti national park for game viewing. The park is home to lots of wild animals which include lions, Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, Elands and Topis among others. You will have a bush breakfast and picnic lunch in the wilderness to have a great time with wild animals in their natural habitat. In the evening, transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.</p><p><strong>Day 19: Explore Ngorongoro &amp; transfer to Arusha</strong></p><p>Have a morning breakfast and go a guided game drive in Ngororongo Conservation Area. You will see lots of wild animals feeding on the green pastures in the crater. Also, visit the Olduvai Gorge where the remains of world’s oldest man were discovered in 1940s by Dr. Leakey. In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.</p><p><strong>Day 20: Full day in Arusha</strong></p><p>Spend this whole day relaxing and chilling at your hotel in Arusha. Lunch will be at the city, before proceeding to the lodge for dinner and overnight.</p><p><strong>Day 2: Head to Nyungwe National Park.</strong></p><p>You will start this day with a yummy cup of coffee, before checking out for a scenic drive to Nyungwe national park; home to over 13 unique primate species happily co-existing in one territory. You will see rolling hills, scattered homesteads, plantations, and locals along the way to the asylum of your cousins the chimpanzees, and many more. You will have enroute lunch stopover in Huye or Nyanza town, and then dinner plus a nap at the lodge in or around the park.</p><p><strong>Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk experience.</strong></p><p>After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration and briefing at about 8:00 am local time. The park rangers will explain the dos and don&#8217;ts while in the Jungle with the primates. With the help of an expert knowledgeable park ranger, <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/chimpanzee-trekking-in-rwanda/">chimpanzee trekking</a> can last for approximately 1-6 hours, plus an extra one hour of taking photos, asking questions, and admiring the sight and sound of the chimps.</p><p>Other residents include; vervet monkeys, grey-cheeked monkeys, and Columbus monkeys among others. Thereafter, you will have a lunch break, followed by an exciting guided nature walk, which offers a perfect chance to watch the breathtaking landscape, enjoy the fresh air and several birds at the treetops. This is one of the top travel destinations in the world, harboring mountain Gorillas and captivating golden monkeys. You will have an en-route stopover for Lunch, before arriving at the lodge in the park in the evening for refreshment, dinner, and a nap.</p><p><strong>Day 5: Golden monkey trekking and visiting the twin lakes.  </strong></p><p>After enjoying a tasty breakfast meal at the lodge, you will head to the park headquarters for registration, as well as Briefing. Golden Monkeys are one of the most captivating primates to lookout for. They are very beautiful, shy, and playful.</p><p>Tracking commences early in the morning for about 1-5 hours, plus an extra one hour to watch them play, feed or relax. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for lunch, and then spend the evening exploring the twins&#8217; lake. The sunset means you will return to the lodge for dinner and a nap.</p><p><strong>Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.</strong></p><p>Start your day with a delicious cup of coffee early in the morning, and then checkout for a drive to an impenetrable Jungle in the Pearl of Africa; Uganda. The drive takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, harboring the highest concentration of mountain gorillas at the <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/blog/the-virunga-chain-of-mountains/">Virunga Mountains.</a> There will be a Lunch en-route, and evening arrival at your lodge in the park for dinner and overnight.</p><p><strong>Day 7: Mountain Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies experience. </strong></p><p>On this day, you will go to the park headquarters for Briefing and document verification as soon as breakfast is done. There, you will meet other members and park rangers ready for the Quest. Depending on your tracking speed and how far the Apes have moved, <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/gorilla-tours/">gorilla trekking</a> can stretch from 1 hour to eight hours, plus a bonus hour of observing, taking photos, and uncovering the lifestyle of these endangered creatures.</p><p>Lunch break follows a successful search, and exciting Batwa Pygmies encounters. Reports suggest that the Batwa are the shortest people in Uganda, and take visitors through stories and experiments of how their ancestries lived as gatherers and hunters in the jungle. Late in the day, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.</p><p><strong>Day 8: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park &#8211; tree lion climbing tracking.</strong></p><p>Enjoy a relaxed breakfast meal, and then check out of the lodge for a transfer to Uganda&#8217;s treasured medley of wonders and most visited park. You will pass via the Ishasha sector, to track the rare<a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/blog/tree-climbing-lions-in-uganda/"> tree-climbing lions</a>. Hopefully, you chance one or more relaxing at the tree top by the end of the adventure. Thereafter, lunch will be at the same sector, before proceeding to the lodge for refreshment, dinner, and a nap.</p><p><strong>Day 9: Game drive and Boat Cruise </strong></p><p>After a lip-smacking breakfast meal, you will head to the wild in search of the different wildlife residents notably the lions, leopards, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, and several others; Birds such as the crested cranes, the Turaco, and gene fowls among others.</p><p>After the 3-4 hour experience, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon Boat cruise at the Kazinga channel, a perfect opportunity to see the hippos, crocodiles and several others in the 2-3 hour adventure. At sunset, return to the lodge for a sunset drive for dinner and overnight.</p><p><strong>Day 10: Flight to Kenya via Entebbe international airport.</strong></p><p>Early in the morning, you will greet your intestines with a lip-smacking breakfast meal, after which you will check out of the lodge for a transfer to Kenya via Entebbe international airport. While on the way to the airport, you will stop for Lunch, photography, and to witness the magical demonstrations at the equator cross line.</p><p>Upon landing In Kenya, our company representative will gladly offer a welcome briefing and then drive to your lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight.</p><p><strong>Day 11: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park.</strong></p><p>Start this day of your <strong>18 Days East African Adventure Vacation</strong> with a cup of coffee, as you checkout for a transfer to Kenya&#8217;s birder&#8217;s haven; lake Nakuru national park. The drive exposes you to rolling hills, and flourishing plantations, in addition to the view of the Great Rift Valley. You will retire for lunch, followed by a relaxed evening. Dinner and a nap are the last in the day&#8217;s activities.</p><p><strong>Day 12: Game drive and Birding experience.</strong></p><p>After breakfast early in the morning, you will leave the lodge for a rewarding 3-4 hour game drive across the park. Among the many mammals, you might chance to spot include; lions, several antelope spaces, elephants, wildebeest, and Buffaloes among others. A lunch break comes in after the hours, before heading to the lake shoreline to watch at the flamingoes, accompanied by several other birds, playing or relaxing. End the day with a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.</p><p><strong>Day 13: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park.</strong></p><p>Brighten your day with a delicious breakfast, as you checkout of the lodge for a transfer to Masai Mara national park &#8211; a co-host of the annual wildebeest migration, and home to Africa&#8217;s Big five (lions, elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes and leopards). You will stopover at the magnificent Great Rift Valley for photos, before proceeding for lunch, and then the final arrival at your lodge for dinner and a nap.</p><p><strong>Day 14: Full-day game drive.</strong></p><p>This entire day will be spent roaming around the different territories of Masai Mara reserve, in search of the different rare residents feeding, relaxing or hunting, and the magnificent landscape. The park is known for its large concentration of lions, plus several other cats and mammals; notably the wildebeests, leopards, elephants, cheetahs and many more birds such as the ostrich, flamingoes and many more, plants and reptiles. At the border post, you will get new documents, followed by lunch, before proceeding to your lodge at the park for refreshment, dinner, and a nap. The rolling hills, birds, local natives, and flourishing plantations will offer you accompaniment.</p><p><strong>Day 16: Game drive and Masai cultural encounter </strong></p><p>This is what makes the wilderness worth a mention. After breakfast, you will spend 3-4 hours around the vast Serengeti National Park, looking out for prey, predators, birds, reptiles, and the captivating landscape. The cave is wide and dark inside, with large colonies of bats haggling at the walls. After the 1 hour experience, you will return to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight stay.</p><p><strong>Day 3: Mountain Gorilla trekking.</strong></p><p>Very early in the morning, you will start your day with a tasty cup of coffee, before heading to the park headquarters for a pre trekking <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/blog/gorilla-trekking-rules-regulations/">briefing</a> and registration and briefing- an activity which commences at about 8:00am, for 30mins. This day ends at sunset with dinner and a nap.</p><p><strong>Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.</strong></p><p>After enjoying a yummy cup of coffee, check out of the lodge and drive to <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/uganda-attractions/queen-elizabeth-national-park/">Queen Elizabeth national park</a> in <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/uganda-travel/">Uganda</a>, the most visited park in the country. There will be lunch enroute and late arrival at the park for dinner and overnight, though after watching numerous breathtaking sceneries.</p><p><strong>Day 5: Game drive and boat cruise.</strong></p><p>Today, follow your delicious breakfast meal with a rewarding 3-4 hour game drive across the wilderness, where mammals, birds, trees, and reptiles of all sizes, colors, and ages call home. Lucky enough, those hours will expose you to notably; lions, leopards, elephants, Uganda Kobs, zebras and herds of buffaloes among others, crested cranes, turacos and kingfishers, unique tree species and very captivating landscape.</p><p>After the game drive, you will have a lunch break, and then spend about 2-3 hours on a boat ride at Kazinga channel; home to a school of hippos and crocodiles. You will have an enroute stopover for Lunch, as well as watching the breathtaking landscapes, and enjoying the cool weather. Arrival at the lodge will be late in the evening for dinner and a nap.</p><p><strong>Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking and swamp walk.</strong></p><p>On this day, you will leave your lodge very early in the morning after breakfast for registration and briefing at the park headquarters. When this is done, you will be escorted through the Lush Jungle in search of chimps, accompanies by over 12 other unique primate species; notably, the red Columbus monkeys, vervet monkeys, and grey checked monkeys among others. At 8:30am, hike up hill to begin the search for these highly endangered primates.</p><p>Spending an hour with chimpanzees while taking pictures, videos and experiencing their human-like characters is all worth the money and strenuous hikes through dense forest. Wakeup very early, have heavy breakfast and with you packed lunch transfer to the respective park headquarters. You will be registered and briefed on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. At 8:00am, start up a hike to meet the endangered gorillas.</p><p>The hike up and down hill in search of the gorillas can last for between 2-7 hours depending on the location of gorillas and the hiking sped of the slowest person in your group. The walk is through a savannah forest, hosting several bird species, and with a unique climatic condition. There will be a picnic lunch en-route, before an evening arrival at the Shira camp for dinner and a nap.</p><p><strong>Day 7: Shira Camp to Barraco camp.</strong></p><p>At sunrise, start the day with a delicious breakfast meal, before commencing with the Journey to Barraco camp. There is a change of temperature at this level thus need to prepare for it. The ground is sandy, with semi glacier areas. Lunch will be served enroute, while dinner and overnight at the camp. Your cameras and eyes will be your best friend as every set presents a unique attraction.</p><p><strong>Day 8: Barraco camp to Barafu camp.</strong></p><p>The journey continues today as soon as breakfast is done. Enroute to Barafu camp, you will enjoy a lip-smacking lunch meal. Though exhausted, and experiencing weather change, dive to your campsite for dinner and a nap.</p><p><strong>Day 9: Barafu camp to Uhuru summit.</strong></p><p>Complete change of altitude it will be today, but very exciting that you will hit the snowcapped Uhuru peak; a dream come true. The 5 to 7-hour journey commences at about 1:00am, while with warm attires. Never stop admiring and listening to explanations from the guides because every bend offers something captivating. Additionally, there will be rising snow to watch at the peak, as well as the fascinating sunrise.</p><p>The camera is fully put on the task at all times. Thereafter, you will descend to Mweka camp, crossing the Gilman&#8217;s point and Barafu camp where Lunch will be served.  Dinner and overnight come last.</p><p><strong>Day 10: Departure.</strong></p><p>Early in the morning, receive the sunrise with a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, after which you continue descending to Mweka Gate. The beautiful country-side views offer endless opportunities to explore unique beauty of the country of a thousand hills. You will arrive in the evening hours and check into the lodge.</p><p><strong>Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park.</strong></p><p>You will depart very early to the park headquarters of Volcanoes National park after the morning breakfast at the lodge. You will meet a group of other guests for briefing by the park officials who will later divide you into groups of 8 which is the maximum number of people allowed to visit a gorilla family. You will then hit the jungle with great expectations of meeting these gentle giants as you walk through the rough terrain of the forest until you meet your dedicated group of gorillas.</p><p>You will be allowed to spend one full hour with them as you take pictures and learning more about their daily behavior. After this memorable time with the <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/gorilla-tours/">mountain Gorillas</a>, you will return to the starting point to meet your driver and begin the drive southwards to Nyungwe Forest, based in Nyamasheke district where you will have a night stay awaiting another adventure with chimps the following day.</p><p><strong>Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking.</strong></p><p><a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/uganda-attractions/nyungwe-forest-national-park/">Nyungwe Forest National Park</a> is known to be the home for the Chimps which are believed to share over 98% DNA with humans. The exercise begins in the morning with briefing on the guidelines for <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/chimpanzee-trekking-in-rwanda/">Chimpanzee tracking</a> which is more/less like tracking mountain Gorillas. Unlike the gorillas, Chimps are livelier and always seen jumping from tree to tree playing and feeding.</p><p>You will be offered a full hour of encounter with these jolly creatures as you learn their behavior. Later return to the starting point to meet your driver and head for a community walk to meet the local people and learn their way of life as you enjoy their norms, craftwork, and traditional performances.</p><p><strong>Day 4: Kigali to Zanzibar.</strong></p><p>This day after your breakfast you will leave Nyungwe forest and embark on a short drive, about three hours heading to Kigali city. There will be a short city tour in Kigali (if time allows) and a lunch break as you proceed to the airport for a transfer to Zanzibar through Kenya. You will be picked on arrival in <a href="https://www.gorillasugandasafaris.com/zanzibar-safaris/">Zanzibar</a> and transfer to the beautiful south coast.</p><p><strong>Day 5: Explore Zanzibar’s south coast.</strong></p><p>You will wake up at leisure this day and have your breakfast and choose on how to spend your entire day relaxed at the beautiful stretch of the entire beach reading a book. The beautiful palm trees provide a beautiful shade for you to relax as you read a book or just watching the fresh waters of the beach.</p><p>The pool is also available if you wish to swim there or still you can swim in the fresh water of the Indian Ocean.</p><p><strong>Day 6: Snorkeling / Diving at Zanzibar Island.</strong></p><p>After the morning breakfast you will arrange for a diving experience and you will also have a chance to sail the traditional dhow that takes you to the banks. You will also spend a few hours watching the Marine life at this Island and end your day in style.</p><p><strong>Day 7: Visit the spice farms.</strong></p><p>After the morning breakfast, you will head out for a visit to the <a href="https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g482884-d7730222-Reviews-Kidichi_Spice_Farm-Zanzibar_Island_Zanzibar_Archipelago.html">spice farms</a> on the Zanzibar Island. The Island is famously known for the spices produced here. You will have a chance to go to the small scale spice farms therein and learn how this is done daily. Return to the lodge later to have some rest.</p><p><strong>Day 8: Jozani Forest</strong></p><p>The day starts with a nice breakfast at the lodge before heading out for the day’s activities. You will start your day with a visit to the Jozani Forest located in the center of the Island. Jozani Forest is home to the red Kirk’s colobus monkey a unique specie common to the Island. You will have a chance to watch them playing and feeding on the Island. Return for lunch and then spend the rest of the evening relaxing our feet in the beach sand.</p><p><strong>Day 9: Stone Town excursion.</strong></p><p>After the morning breakfast, you will have a visit to the stone town whole day. The stone town is located on the west coast offering a rich colonial / Asian city exploration and the East African slave trade history. This will include enjoying the stunning views of hills, various attractions in and around Kigali capital city for instance visit <a href="https://kgm.rw/">Gisozi genocide centre</a>, Kimironko market.</p><p>After about 2 hours enjoying Kigali city tour, get lunch then be transferred to Ruhengeri where Volcanoes National Park is situated.
