21 Days Grand East Africa Safari detailed itinerary 

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to the hotel

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet and greet your driver guide from our company. He/she will guide you briefly on how the itinerary will flow, which activities to do and when. You will then transfer to your desired hotel in Kampala/Entebbe.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National park

Wakeup early, have breakfast and setoff from Murchison Falls National park located in north western Uganda. You will have a brief stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongora, take some pictures and proceed with the journey to Uganda’s mighty park. The 6-7 hours’ drive via tea farms, banana plantations and local communities make this journey more interesting and fun.

 Day 3: Game viewing & boat cruise to the bottom of the falls

Today, you will explore the beauty of Murchison Falls National park which is Uganda’s oldest and largest National park. Wake up very early and go for guided game viewing to catchup with early risers hunting and browsing/grazing. Expect to see numerus wild animals such as lions, leopards, hyenas, giraffes, Uganda kobs, Elephants, Buffalos, Hippos and Waterbucks among others.

Return to the lodge for late breakfast and wait for hot lunch. In the afternoon, join a boat cruise to the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls National park. Experience how the strong river waters squeeze through a 7-meter gorge falling 43 meters down to form the might waterfall. You will also witness a permanent rainbow at the bottom of Murchison Falls.  More so, look out to the banks of the river for some birds and water animals seen resting lazily.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National park

You may have an optional game drive to see those wild animals you may have missed in the previous day. Have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, check out and depart from Kibale Forest, the primate capital of East Africa.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking &Bigodi wetland

This is a great day for chimpanzee trekking! Rise up very early, have heavy breakfast and with your packed lunch transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor Information Centre for registration and briefing on the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. The trek to meet these endangered chimpanzees start at 8:00am lasting for between 2-6 hours.

You will spend an hour the chimpanzees, learn their behaviors and have fun with your close relatives.  In the afternoon, go for a guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland, home to many birds and primates.

Day 6:  Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy your last moments in Kibale Forest National park! You may have a nature guided walk to explore this natural forest on foot. Have a specious heavy breakfast, check out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park. Spend the rest of the evening at your lodge in QENP.

Day 7: Game viewing & Kazinga channel boat cruise

Rise up very early and transfer to the open plains of Queen Elizabeth National park for game viewing.  You will see lots of wild animals including lions, Elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, Warthogs, lions, leopards, hyenas hippos among others. More so, drive to visit different crater lakes in the park especially Lake Munyanyage for Flamingo birds and Lake Katwe for salt.

In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise at Kazinga channel which connects Lakes Edward and George. A boat cruise is a great chance to see numerous birds and wild animals at the river banks.

Day 8: Lion tracking & community walk

In the early morning, rise up and drive to Kasenyi plains for the experimental lion tracking. With the guide of armed rangers and another team of researchers and veterinary doctors, walk through the plains to see the kings of jungle and how they live their social lives. In the afternoon, visit the local communities near the park especially the fishing villages to learn their traditional dances, way of life and economic livelihood.

Day 9: Ishasha sector – transfer to Bwindi Forest

This is the last day in Queen Elizabeth national Park! Have breakfast, check pout and rive to Ishasha sector in the south of the Park. Ishasha is home to the famous tree climbing lions which make it a not miss on your Uganda safari. Look up in the acacia and fig trees to see the famous lions resting lazily just above you.

You will then drive out of QENP and with enroute lunch drive to Bwindi impenetrable Forest National park via Kihihi – Buhoma route.

Day 10: Mountain gorilla trekking & Batwa community visit

The great day for trekking the endangered mountain gorillas is finally here! You will wake up very early, have breakfast and with your packed lunch transfer to the respective park headquarters. Register with the park officials and attend a brief guide on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. At 8:00am, start off a hike up and down hill through the jungle in search of the endangered gorillas.

The trekking time depend on the location of gorillas but ranges between 2 to 7 hours. On meeting the gorilla, Spend an hour in their territory company, as you watch them play, rest, forage and juveniles making noise; take pictures and have fun with your close relatives. In the evening if time allows, visit the Batwa communities to learn and experience their traditional forest life.

Day 11: Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe

Today you will have breakfast, enjoy your last views of Bwindi Forest National park and hit the road for a full day drive to Kampala. The drive is scenic and enjoyable via Kigezi rolling hills and Ankole farms. You will have various stops to buy road side foods and take pictures to make your trip more fun.

Day 12: Fly to Kenya – transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve.

Wakeup on a hot cup of coffee and drive to Entebbe airport for your connecting flight to Nairobi Kenya. On landing in Nairobi, refresh and join our safari guide for a road transfer to Masai Mara National park, Kenya’s top National park and home to vast population of population including the Big 5.

Day 13: Full day game viewing.

Spend this whole day exploring and enjoying the beauty of Masai Mara National park. The park is home to numerous wild animals which include buffalos, Elephants, Lions, Zebras, Cheetahs, Wildebeest, waterbucks, Warthogs, Drive to Mara river where animals gather for drinking water.  Bush breakfast and picnic lunch in the middle of the wilderness make this experience magical.

Day 14: Masai community tour & transfer to Lake Nakuru

In the morning, you will visit the Masai community villages to meet and interact with these indigenous people. Learn about their behaviors, norms and customs. In the afternoon, transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day 15: Game Viewing & Bird watching

This whole day is for game viewing and bird watching in Lake Nakuru National park. Have a guided game drive to see numerous wild animals that call this park home.  More so, enjoy the scenic views of greater and lesser flamingo birds which inhabit this National Park. It’s after these birds that this park was named Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day 16: Fly to Arusha – Tanzania

Enjoy your morning sleep, have a relaxed breakfast and transfer to Nairobi for your connecting flight to Arusha International Airport.

Day 17: Transfer to Serengeti National park

Have your morning breakfast at the hotel in Arusha and depart for Serengeti National park, through undulating Ngorongoro landscapes infested with vast greenery landscape, plateaus, romantic hills and vibrant homesteads.

Day 18: Full day game viewing & Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

In the early morning, drive to the open plains of Serengeti national park for game viewing. The park is home to lots of wild animals which include lions, Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, Elands and Topis among others. You will have a bush breakfast and picnic lunch in the wilderness to have a great time with wild animals in their natural habitat. In the evening, transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 19: Explore Ngorongoro & transfer to Arusha

Have a morning breakfast and go a guided game drive in Ngororongo Conservation Area. You will see lots of wild animals feeding on the green pastures in the crater. Also, visit the Olduvai Gorge where the remains of world’s oldest man were discovered in 1940s by Dr. Leakey. In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.

Day 20: Full day in Arusha

Spend this whole day relaxing and chilling at your hotel in Arusha. If you want, go for a city tour in Arusha – northern Tanzania’s most popular and busy capital as well as supporting local businesses by buying crafts and fresh fruits.

Day 21: Departure

Have breakfast at your hotel, check put and drive through Arusha city headed to the airport for your connecting flight. This will mark the end of your 21 Days Grand East Africa Safari.

18 Days East African Adventure Vacation Detailed tour.

Day 1: Kigali City tour.

As soon as the agreed time clocks, our expert driver-guide will gladly meet you. He will brief you about the entire trip, destinations, and schedules, before heading for a rewarding tour around Kigali city; East Africa’s cleanest city. You will visit the local markets, and the famous Genocide memorial site. Lunch will be at the city, before proceeding to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Head to Nyungwe National Park.

You will start this day with a yummy cup of coffee, before checking out for a scenic drive to Nyungwe national park; home to over 13 unique primate species happily co-existing in one territory. You will see rolling hills, scattered homesteads, plantations, and locals along the way to the asylum of your cousins the chimpanzees, and many more. You will have enroute lunch stopover in Huye or Nyanza town, and then dinner plus a nap at the lodge in or around the park.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk experience.

After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration and briefing at about 8:00 am local time. The park rangers will explain the dos and don’ts while in the Jungle with the primates. With the help of an expert knowledgeable park ranger, chimpanzee trekking can last for approximately 1-6 hours, plus an extra one hour of taking photos, asking questions, and admiring the sight and sound of the chimps.

Other residents include; vervet monkeys, grey-cheeked monkeys, and Columbus monkeys among others. Thereafter, you will have a lunch break, followed by an exciting guided nature walk, which offers a perfect chance to watch the breathtaking landscape, enjoy the fresh air and several birds at the treetops. Dinner and overnight sum up the day.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

At daybreak, you will enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast meal, and then exit the lodge for Volcanoes National park. This is one of the top travel destinations in the world, harboring mountain Gorillas and captivating golden monkeys. You will have an en-route stopover for Lunch, before arriving at the lodge in the park in the evening for refreshment, dinner, and a nap.

Day 5: Golden monkey trekking and visiting the twin lakes. 

After enjoying a tasty breakfast meal at the lodge, you will head to the park headquarters for registration, as well as Briefing. Golden Monkeys are one of the most captivating primates to lookout for. They are very beautiful, shy, and playful.

Tracking commences early in the morning for about 1-5 hours, plus an extra one hour to watch them play, feed or relax. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for lunch, and then spend the evening exploring the twins’ lake. The sunset means you will return to the lodge for dinner and a nap.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

Start your day with a delicious cup of coffee early in the morning, and then checkout for a drive to an impenetrable Jungle in the Pearl of Africa; Uganda. The drive takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, harboring the highest concentration of mountain gorillas at the Virunga Mountains. There will be a Lunch en-route, and evening arrival at your lodge in the park for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Mountain Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies experience.

On this day, you will go to the park headquarters for Briefing and document verification as soon as breakfast is done. There, you will meet other members and park rangers ready for the Quest. Depending on your tracking speed and how far the Apes have moved, gorilla trekking can stretch from 1 hour to eight hours, plus a bonus hour of observing, taking photos, and uncovering the lifestyle of these endangered creatures.

Lunch break follows a successful search, and exciting Batwa Pygmies encounters. Reports suggest that the Batwa are the shortest people in Uganda, and take visitors through stories and experiments of how their ancestries lived as gatherers and hunters in the jungle. Late in the day, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park – tree lion climbing tracking.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast meal, and then check out of the lodge for a transfer to Uganda’s treasured medley of wonders and most visited park. You will pass via the Ishasha sector, to track the rare tree-climbing lions. Hopefully, you chance one or more relaxing at the tree top by the end of the adventure. Thereafter, lunch will be at the same sector, before proceeding to the lodge for refreshment, dinner, and a nap.

Day 9: Game drive and Boat Cruise

After a lip-smacking breakfast meal, you will head to the wild in search of the different wildlife residents notably the lions, leopards, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, and several others; Birds such as the crested cranes, the Turaco, and gene fowls among others.

After the 3-4 hour experience, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon Boat cruise at the Kazinga channel, a perfect opportunity to see the hippos, crocodiles and several others in the 2-3 hour adventure. At sunset, return to the lodge for a sunset drive for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Flight to Kenya via Entebbe international airport.

Early in the morning, you will greet your intestines with a lip-smacking breakfast meal, after which you will check out of the lodge for a transfer to Kenya via Entebbe international airport. While on the way to the airport, you will stop for Lunch, photography, and to witness the magical demonstrations at the equator cross line.

Upon landing In Kenya, our company representative will gladly offer a welcome briefing and then drive to your lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Start this day of your 18 Days East African Adventure Vacation with a cup of coffee, as you checkout for a transfer to Kenya’s birder’s haven; lake Nakuru national park. The drive exposes you to rolling hills, and flourishing plantations, in addition to the view of the Great Rift Valley. You will retire for lunch, followed by a relaxed evening. Dinner and a nap are the last in the day’s activities.

Day 12: Game drive and Birding experience.

After breakfast early in the morning, you will leave the lodge for a rewarding 3-4 hour game drive across the park. Among the many mammals, you might chance to spot include; lions, several antelope spaces, elephants, wildebeest, and Buffaloes among others. A lunch break comes in after the hours, before heading to the lake shoreline to watch at the flamingoes, accompanied by several other birds, playing or relaxing. End the day with a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park.

Brighten your day with a delicious breakfast, as you checkout of the lodge for a transfer to Masai Mara national park – a co-host of the annual wildebeest migration, and home to Africa’s Big five (lions, elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes and leopards). You will stopover at the magnificent Great Rift Valley for photos, before proceeding for lunch, and then the final arrival at your lodge for dinner and a nap.

Day 14: Full-day game drive.

This entire day will be spent roaming around the different territories of Masai Mara reserve, in search of the different rare residents feeding, relaxing or hunting, and the magnificent landscape. The park is known for its large concentration of lions, plus several other cats and mammals; notably the wildebeests, leopards, elephants, cheetahs and many more birds such as the ostrich, flamingoes and many more, plants and reptiles. End this day with dinner and a peaceful nap at the lodge.

Day 15: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, you will join your driver-guide for a breathtaking drive to Serengeti national park-one of East Africa’s most famous tourist destinations, and home to the world’s renowned annual wildebeest migration. At the border post, you will get new documents, followed by lunch, before proceeding to your lodge at the park for refreshment, dinner, and a nap. The rolling hills, birds, local natives, and flourishing plantations will offer you accompaniment.

Day 16: Game drive and Masai cultural encounter

This is what makes the wilderness worth a mention. After breakfast, you will spend 3-4 hours around the vast Serengeti National Park, looking out for prey, predators, birds, reptiles, and the captivating landscape. On a lucky day, any of these residents can come your way; wildebeest, lions, Rhinos, Hippos, Leopards, cheetah, and Buffaloes among others.

Thereafter, you will have a lunch break, followed by an amazing cultural encounter with the famous Masai warriors. Drum beats will feel the air, while the ground vibrates with the energetic steps of these former herdsmen. After, enjoy a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 17: Visit Ngorongoro crater.

After early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a transfer to Ngorongoro crater; home of the world’s largest land caldera. En-route, you will stop for a historical excursion at Olduvai Gorge; a point where the bones of a man who is believed to have been the first in existence were discovered.

After an hour or so, you will proceed for lunch at your lodge in the park, before heading for a top of the crater Hike. At the top, you get to admire the landscape, glance at the crater, and spot several birds, mammals, and primates at their hideouts. End the day at the lodge with dinner and a nap

Day 18: Morning game drive and departure.

This is the last day of your 18 Days East African Adventure Vacation. After a very early breakfast, you will depart the lodge to the wilderness to catch-up with the early risers heading for grazing and also the night hunters returning from their night duty. Chances are that you will watch prey, predators, birds and many more residents of all different sizes and colors.

Some of the notable mammals you will look out for include; lions, wildebeests, leopards, zebras, giraffes, impalas, elephants among others. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for breakfast, before checking out for a drive to the airport for your flight.

16 Days East African Safari Detailed Itinerary. 

Day 1: Pickup and Kigali City Tour.

Upon landing at Kigali international airport, you will meet and greet our driver guide, before heading for a rewarding Kigali city tour. Kigali is ranked as one of the safest and cleanest cities in the continent of Africa. Some of the places you will visit include; the genocide memorial site – to know more about the act and pay tribute to over 250,000 innocent people who lost their lives during the Tutsi and Hutu ethnic conflict. Other places include the local markets and King’s palace. Lunch will be in the city, whereas dinner and overnight at the hotel around town.

Day 2: Volcanoes National Park – Musanze cave exploration.

Early in the morning, you will enjoy breakfast at the lodge, and then checkout for a transfer to Volcanoes national park. This 2-3 hour drive exposes you to Rwanda’s rolling Hills, vegetation in the countryside, plus the local natives.

You will arrive at the lodge and check-in for lunch, before heading for an interesting Musanze cave exploration. The cave is wide and dark inside, with large colonies of bats haggling at the walls. After the 1 hour experience, you will return to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla trekking.

Very early in the morning, you will start your day with a tasty cup of coffee, before heading to the park headquarters for a pre trekking briefing and registration and briefing- an activity which commences at about 8:00am, for 30mins. The briefing entails explaining the rules governing the jungle, giving details about the gorillas and locating members of the different gorilla families.

Trekking the specific gorilla family you have been assigned may last for about 1-6 hours depending on your speed on how far the Apes have moved, plus an extra of only one hour to take photos, ask questions and many more. Afterward, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon optional cultural experience at the local communities. This day ends at sunset with dinner and a nap.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After enjoying a yummy cup of coffee, check out of the lodge and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda, the most visited park in the country. There will be lunch enroute and late arrival at the park for dinner and overnight, though after watching numerous breathtaking sceneries.

Day 5: Game drive and boat cruise.

Today, follow your delicious breakfast meal with a rewarding 3-4 hour game drive across the wilderness, where mammals, birds, trees, and reptiles of all sizes, colors, and ages call home. Lucky enough, those hours will expose you to notably; lions, leopards, elephants, Uganda Kobs, zebras and herds of buffaloes among others, crested cranes, turacos and kingfishers, unique tree species and very captivating landscape.

After the game drive, you will have a lunch break, and then spend about 2-3 hours on a boat ride at Kazinga channel; home to a school of hippos and crocodiles. Take as many snaps as possible, before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast meal, followed by a visit to Kibale forest national park- the words primate wild. You will have an enroute stopover for Lunch, as well as watching the breathtaking landscapes, and enjoying the cool weather. Arrival at the lodge will be late in the evening for dinner and a nap.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking and swamp walk.

On this day, you will leave your lodge very early in the morning after breakfast for registration and briefing at the park headquarters. When this is done, you will be escorted through the Lush Jungle in search of chimps, accompanies by over 12 other unique primate species; notably, the red Columbus monkeys, vervet monkeys, and grey checked monkeys among others. The chimpanzee trekking exercise may last for approximately 1-5 hours, plus one additional hour of watching them play, relax or feed.

Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a visit to Bigodi forest, where you will catch the sight of several birds such as the Turaco’s, and the baboons among others. Call of this day with a yummy dinner meal and a peaceful sleep.

Day 8: Fly to Nairobi – Kenya.

You are at the half way mark of your 16 Days East African Safari. After having a relaxed breakfast meal at the lodge, you will check out and drive to Entebbe international airport, but with an enroute stopover at the equator for sightseeing, photography and Lunch. On landing at Nairobi, you will meet our come guide who will brief you, and then drive to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Early in the morning, you will greet your intestines with a yummy breakfast meal, followed by a brief Nairobi city tour, before heading to Lake Nakuru national park Kenya’s birder’s haven. Lunch meal will be served upon arrival, and then a relaxed afternoon, with several optional activities to pick from, before dinner and a nap

Day 10: Game drive and birding.

At daybreak, get done with breakfast and head-out for a 3-4 hour game viewing experience. Though the captivating landscape may want to win your attention, the sights of the Buffaloes, elephants, and several other antelope species, and birds will keep you on course.

Thereafter, you will have a lunch break, followed by an exciting birding experience at the Lake Nakuru shorelines, where several flamingos and aquatic birds will be having fun. At sunset, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Drive to Masai Mara National Park.

After breakfast, you will hit the road to Masai Mara national park for a remarkable game drive experience. This is one of east Africa’s top travel destinations, with the highest concentration of cats, and other mammals.

You will have an enroute stopover at the giant magnificent great rift valley for photography and sight-seeing, before another at Narus center for lunch. Thereafter, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and a nap.

Day 12: Full day game drive.

At sunrise, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast meal, and then head out to the plains of Masai Mara reserve in such for the different asylums grazing, relaxing, or hunting such as the leopards, Rhinos, impalas, cheetahs and lions among others. Masai Mara is ranked as a destination with the highest concentration of lions in the continent of Africa.

After the first search, you will head to the Mara river banks for a delicious breakfast meal, before spending the rest of the day looking at the crocodiles and hippos at the Mara River. Return to the lodge for dinner and a nap.

Day 13: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.

On this day, you will have a relaxed breakfast meal at the lodge, and then checkout for an exciting game drive to Serengeti national park in Tanzania – home to the dramatic annual wildebeest migration. At the border post, you will get new documents, followed by lunch, before proceeding with the drive to your lodge at the park for dinner and overnight. Chances are high that as you enter the park, you will get a very lovely salutation from the birds and mammals relaxing from the day’s duty.

Day 14: Game drive and Masai Cultural experience.

At daybreak, greet your intestines with a hefty breakfast meal, before heading out for a 3-4 hour game drive across the Seronera wildlife territories. Among the mammals, birds, and reptiles to look out for during the game drive include; the wildebeest, zebras, impalas, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, flamingoes and ostriches, among others. Serengeti also has a very captivating landscape and unique tree species.

This park is also a host to the famous annual wildebeest migration. Thereafter, you will return for lunch and then head for an exciting cultural experience with the Masai warriors- renowned hunters.  The day ends at the lodge with dinner and a nap.

Day 15: Drive to Ngorongoro crater.

At sunrise, you will start your day with an early breakfast and then hit the road to the home of the world’s largest land a caldera. The drive is through a route made – up of rolling hills, vegetation, and scattered homesteads. You will arrive for lunch and then head out for an unforgettable hike to the bottom of the crater.

Here, you have the opportunity of taking photos in very scenic spots, as well as watching the captivating landscape, birds, and different mammals in their hideout. Afterwards, have a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and a nap.

Day 16: Morning game drive and departure.

After an exciting nap, you will wake up very early in the morning to catch-up with the night hunters as they return to their territories, and the day grazers heading to the field. On a good day, expect to encounter Africa’s Big 5 namely; lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffaloes, plus many more birds, reptiles among others.

The search may last for about 2-3 hours, after which you will return to the lodge for breakfast, before checking out for a drive to the airport for your flight to the next destination. This will mark the end of your 16 Days East African Safari.

You will spend the nights at very comfortable accommodation facilities, guided by an expert driver-guide and several other activities. The trip starts and ends at Zanzibar.

10 Days Zanzibar Beach Adventure Holiday Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival.

Upon landing at the airport, our company representative will gladly welcome you for your 10 Days Zanzibar Beach Adventure Holiday. He will brief you about the experience, respond to your questions, and then tackle any concerns you may raise. Day 2: Full day Stone town Tour.

Wakeup like a king and enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, before heading for a full-day stone town tour. The stone town is the capital city of Zanzibar, marked by busying streets, religious sites, ancient Arab, British and Africa architecture. You will visit the catholic cathedral; formerly used as a slave trade market, the wonderful house, local markets, and several other places. You will have Lunch in the town, before waiting for a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Half day dolphin tour

After breakfast, you will leave the lodge for a half-day dolphin tour; an experience of swimming beside the dolphins is thrilling. Because for the hours you will spend under the water, you not only watch them swim but also several other sea creatures.

You will take photos; ask questions about these creatures, before exiting for lunch and a relaxed evening at the lodge until dinner time and overnight stay.

Day 4: Primate trekking at Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park.

At daybreak, you will enjoy a relaxed breakfast meal at the lodge, and then head for an exciting encounter with the red Columbus monkeys in their habitat at Jozani chwaka bay; the only national park present on the island. Tracking starts with briefing and document verification, before the ultimate adventure, through the Jungle, with several residents happily co-existing in the same territories.

You will enjoy the different sounds and sights of birds and monkeys such as the rare Columbus monkeys; not easily anywhere in the continent of Africa. Before exiting the park, you will also visit the Persian bath tab, to prove the line that existed between the nobles and the peasants at that time. You will then return to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and a nap.

Day 5: Prison Island and Forodhani Garden market.

After enjoying a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, you will head to the prison Island to uncover the historical facts about it and the beauty. The prison island is one of the major tourist attractions in the island, because of what transpired there during the slave trade error.

It was where the slaves were arrested and tortured. You will be shown the pieces of evidence of the slaves in form of chains and many more present, before you head for Lunch. After lunch, you will refresh and relax, before spending the evening at Forodhani Garden market, a place tailored for refreshment and fun, with lots of eats, and drinks. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Full day birding experience.

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a full-day exciting birding experience. The expert guides will take you to sites with several bird species, to identify the different residents present, learn of their uniqueness and grow in knowledge.

You will have a lunch break and then proceed with the activity for more than two hours, before driving to your accommodation for refreshment, dinner, and overnight.

Day 7: Full day spice plantation Tour and cultural adventure.

Enjoy a relaxed morning with a yummy breakfast meal, and thereafter drive to a community where spices are grown. Spice plantation is one of the main activities that exposed the island to the world; with several traders dealing in the product as a leading trade. It was at first meant for only trade, but as time passed on, it has been turned into one of the major tourist products on this island. Visitors to the plantation are taught of the different plantations and their importance and as well identifying them.

The tour guides climb the plants to pick the fruits, explain, and demonstrate. Among the many spices, you will enjoy the sweet fragrance include; nutmeg, coconut, jackfruits, cinnamon and ginger among others. This session is so interactive in that after the plantation tour, you will have a lunch break and meet the local natives for a cultural experience. 2-3 hours will be the time frame, before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 and 9: Full day beach experience.

These two days start with coffee, before heading exploring the exotic beaches for refreshment, fun, and self-meditation. What you can do on each of these days include swimming, diving, admiring the magnificent Indian Ocean, enjoying beach sports and taking photos among others. Day 1: Transfer to a hotel upon arrival at Entebbe Airport

Take a flight up-to Entebbe International Airport and upon early arrival, meet your driver guide for transfer to a hotel.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park

Have a delicious cup of tea or coffee and after, set off from your hotel to Murchison Falls National Park in Northwestern Uganda. In a pop-up roof Van/Land cruiser, you will have en-route visit at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola where you will track rhinos. After, proceed to Murchison Falls for evening game drive and later, get dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Game drive & Launch trip

Breakfast early in the morning and after, go explore Murchison Falls National Park’s pristine savannas on a morning game drive. You will come across the Rothschild giraffes, lions, Uganda Kobs, Jackson’s Hartebeest, oribis, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, birds and others. Retreat from the 2-3 hours’ wildlife viewing tour and have lunch. In the afternoon, expect to embark on a boat/launch cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls. While on a cruise, expect to sight hippos, Nile crocodiles, aquatic birds and a chance to hike to the top of the falls.

Day 4: Visit Kibale Forest National Park

Enjoy your leisurely breakfast and after, drive to Kibale forest national park. En-route, get the best of the Albert escarpment and jaw-dropping views of Mt. Rwenzori. At Fort Portal Tourism City, make a stop for lunch and connect to Kibale while viewing the extensive tea plantations.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking & nature walks in Bigodi

After breakfast, you will be briefed by park official about chimpanzee tracking guidelines at Kanyanchu Visitor Centre. The 2-4 chimpanzee trek begins at 8:00am once you have been allocated park guide. You will also come across many other species of primates, birds while on search for chimpanzees. You will enjoy a complete 1 hour with chimpanzees and also take many photos.

Get back to the lodge in Kibale to relax and be served lunch. Later, you will go for Bigodi nature walk. This is a rewarding swamp walk offering you opportunity to sight diversity of primates, birds plus other mammals.

Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and after, travel to Bwindi via Fort Portal then drive through Ishasha to spot the tree climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at the lodge you booked in Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking

After a cup of tea or coffee, assemble at Bwindi offices where you will meet official and other trekkers. You will be briefed on gorilla trekking rules, assigned a gorilla group (Bwindi has a total of 20 habituated gorilla families available for gorilla trekking) and the park guide to lead on a gorilla trek. Actual search for gorillas starts at 8:00am and can take 2-6 hours which includes 1 hour for photo taking and learning about their behaviors. Get back after gorilla trek to chill at the lodge and you will pay a visit to the Batwa community.

Day 8: Transfer to Zanzibar

Have a hefty breakfast and after, drive to Kihihi/Kisoro airstrip where you will fly back to Entebbe airport. From Entebbe airport, take a flight to Zanzibar.

Day 9: Tour spice farm

Get up for an early morning breakfast and after, set off explore the spice farms. Get to know how variety of spices are grown and have opportunity to taste some or purchase some. After, have lunch and then have relaxed afternoon or go swimming.

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International airport, meet and greet your driver guide representing our company. Have a brief guide on the flow of the itinerary and setoff for Kibale Forest National park. You will have a brief stop at Nakayima tree where locals are seen performing rituals and prating to their small gods.

You will have lunch in Fort portal – the popular tourism city of Uganda, visit some tourist destinations in the city Centre and proceed with your drive to Kibale Forest National Park, the primate’s capital of Africa!

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi wetland walk

Wakeup very early, have breakfast, get your packed lunch and transfer to Kanyanchu visitor information Centre for registration and briefing on the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking. At 8:30am, hike up hill to begin the search for these highly endangered primates.

Spending an hour with chimpanzees while taking pictures, videos and experiencing their human-like characters is all worth the money and strenuous hikes through dense forest. Besides chimpanzees, you will see other primates such as the red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, baboons and blue monkeys among other primates and birds in Kibale Forest National park.

In the afternoon, go for guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland home, to numerous birds, reptiles and primates. A nature walk is the best way to experience the jungle!

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National park

Have a sunrise breakfast at your lodge in Kibale Forest, check out and depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park located in south western Uganda. Enjoy this scenic drive via beautiful tea farms, banana plantations, trading centers, cattle farms and local communities on your way to Bwindi Forest.

Also, lunch stops to buy road side roasted maize, muchoma and the like make this trip more interesting.

Day 4: Mountain gorilla trekking

The great day for trekking endangered gorillas is finally here! Wakeup very early, have heavy breakfast and with you packed lunch transfer to the respective park headquarters. You will be registered and briefed on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. At 8:00am, start up a hike to meet the endangered gorillas.

The hike up and down hill in search of the gorillas can last for between 2-7 hours depending on the location of gorillas and the hiking sped of the slowest person in your group. You will be allowed to spend an hour with the gorillas, take pictures and embrace the human like characters of these endangered species. After there, hike down, meet your driver guide, pic your trekking certificate and drive to your lodge.

Day 5: Cross to Kigali – Fly to Arusha.

After morning hot cup of spacious coffee, check out of your lodge in Bwindi and cross over to Kigali Rwanda via Cyanika or Katuna Border. Enjoy a drive through the clean and touristic Kigali city, the cleanest city in the whole of Africa.

You can visit some tourist destinations in Kigali such as the Kigali Convention Centre, Kigali genocide memorial Centre and some local markets. Thereafter, drive to Kigali airport for your connecting flight to Arusha, Tanzania.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Enjoy your morning sleep, wakeup on a sunrise cup of coffee and check out. Depart Arusha for Serengeti National park located in northern Tanzania. The drive time from Arusha to Serengeti is roughly 5 hours.  In the evening relax at your lodge in the heart of Africa’s true wilderness.

Day 7: Full day game viewing

You will spend this whole day exploring and enjoying the big five game of Serengeti National park. You will have guided game drives to various points of the park to see lots of animals feeding in the wilderness.

Day 8: Guided Nature walk & Masai Cultural tour

Day 1: Arrival and Kampala City tour.

Depending on the agreed pickup point, our company representative will gladly meet and welcome you for this exciting safari. You will be briefed, before heading for a rewarding Kampala familiarization tour. This will be to the reptile village so as you can know the different reptiles on earth, the Uganda Museum to learn of the historical and cultural attractions in the country, and local markets to purchase souvenirs or some of the missing items. Lunch will be around town, whereas there will be a sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

At sunset, you will greet your intestines with a yummy breakfast meal, before checking out for a rewarding transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park; a drive that lasts for the entire day, with a lunch break, and refreshment. However, your eyes will be fed with rolling hills, plantations, Busying towns, and many more. Arrival at the park is late in the evening for refreshment, dinner, and a nap.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking.

This Day starts very early morning with energy giving breakfast meals, followed by a drive to the sector’s Headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing. During the briefing session, the park rangers give an in-depth explanation of the lifestyle of these relatives, the tracking rules, and also allocated members to the group of their choice.

Trekking Gorillas may last from 1 hour to 8 hours depending on your tracking speed, and how far they have moved. The activity picks-up momentum from the place the creatures were last seen, through the Jungle.

After a maximum of one hour of photography, and watching the unique characteristics of the Apes, you will return to the lodge for refreshment and Lunch, followed by an afternoon cultural encounter with the Batwa Pygmies- former hunters and gatherers with unspoiled cultural stories and exhibitions.  The sunset brings dinner and a nap

Day 4: Fly to Kilimanjaro Mountain – Northern Tanzania.

After enjoying a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, you will join your driver Guide for a smooth drive to Entebbe international airport, with an enroute stopover at the Equator for Lunch, photography, and witnessing the magical demonstrations at the marginal Line.

At Entebbe international airport, you will get a flight that will take you to Kilimanjaro international airport in northern Tanzania, where you will get our driver-guide for a transfer to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: To Machame camp.

After early morning breakfast, our expert driver-guide will take you to Machame Gate, where other hikers, porters, and park rangers will be gathered for the Hike. Here, you will register and also listen to the advice from the experienced park rangers on how to tackle this giant to the peak because of every-step matters.

In this 4-5 hour hike to Machame campsite, expect to watch the captivating landscape, some residents, and many more. You will have a Lunch stopover, followed by dinner and a nap at the camp.

Day 6: Machame camp to Shira camp.

After a hefty breakfast meal, you will proceed to ascend the world’s tallest standalone mountain. The walk is through a savannah forest, hosting several bird species, and with a unique climatic condition. There will be a picnic lunch en-route, before an evening arrival at the Shira camp for dinner and a nap.

Day 7: Shira Camp to Barraco camp.

At sunrise, start the day with a delicious breakfast meal, before commencing with the Journey to Barraco camp. There is a change of temperature at this level thus need to prepare for it. The ground is sandy, with semi glacier areas. Lunch will be served enroute, while dinner and overnight at the camp. Your cameras and eyes will be your best friend as every set presents a unique attraction.

Day 8: Barraco camp to Barafu camp.

The journey continues today as soon as breakfast is done. Earlier than the previous days, through a rugged path, that offers an interesting view of captivating landscapes, caves, and many more. Enroute to Barafu camp, you will enjoy a lip-smacking lunch meal. Though exhausted, and experiencing weather change, dive to your campsite for dinner and a nap.

Day 9: Barafu camp to Uhuru summit.

Complete change of altitude it will be today, but very exciting that you will hit the snowcapped Uhuru peak; a dream come true. The 5 to 7-hour journey commences at about 1:00am, while with warm attires. Never stop admiring and listening to explanations from the guides because every bend offers something captivating. Additionally, there will be rising snow to watch at the peak, as well as the fascinating sunrise.

The camera is fully put on the task at all times. Thereafter, you will descend to Mweka camp, crossing the Gilman’s point and Barafu camp where Lunch will be served.  Dinner and overnight come last.

Day 10: Departure.

Early in the morning, receive the sunrise with a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, after which you continue descending to Mweka Gate. Across the way, some caution should be taken, as well as the eyes should keep on admiring the landscapes, vegetation, and so on. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and early lunch. Thereafter, depart for Serengeti National Park located in north western Tanzania along the border of Kenya.

Day 4 & 5: Full day in Serengeti.

The two days (4 & 5) are for exploring all the beauty and hidden gem in Serengeti National Park. Enjoy guided game drives through the park for spectacular views of wild animals hunting, grazing and browsing. Serengeti has a high concentration of wild animals, which include Wildebeests, Buffalos, Lions, Leopards, Zebras, Cheetahs, Hippos, Elands, Topis, waterbucks, Warthogs and Giraffes among others.

Also, go fro bird watching to discover some bird species in Serengeti National park including Grey breasted spur fowl, Kori Bustards, Fischer’s lovebird, Rufous tailed weaver, Black headed gonolek, Ruppell’s vulture, Silver bird, Red capped robin chat, Grey backed fiscal and Southern ground hornbill.

10 Days Rwanda Primates & Zanzibar Beach Holiday itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and drive to Musanze province.

You will be picked by our professional guide at the airport and transfer to Ruhengeri / Musanze town in the North of Rwanda – home of the elegant Volcanoes National Park. The beautiful country-side views offer endless opportunities to explore unique beauty of the country of a thousand hills. You will arrive in the evening hours and check into the lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park.

You will depart very early to the park headquarters of Volcanoes National park after the morning breakfast at the lodge. You will meet a group of other guests for briefing by the park officials who will later divide you into groups of 8 which is the maximum number of people allowed to visit a gorilla family. You will then hit the jungle with great expectations of meeting these gentle giants as you walk through the rough terrain of the forest until you meet your dedicated group of gorillas.

You will be allowed to spend one full hour with them as you take pictures and learning more about their daily behavior. After this memorable time with the mountain Gorillas, you will return to the starting point to meet your driver and begin the drive southwards to Nyungwe Forest, based in Nyamasheke district where you will have a night stay awaiting another adventure with chimps the following day.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking.

Nyungwe Forest National Park is known to be the home for the Chimps which are believed to share over 98% DNA with humans. The exercise begins in the morning with briefing on the guidelines for Chimpanzee tracking which is more/less like tracking mountain Gorillas. Unlike the gorillas, Chimps are livelier and always seen jumping from tree to tree playing and feeding.

You will be offered a full hour of encounter with these jolly creatures as you learn their behavior. Later return to the starting point to meet your driver and head for a community walk to meet the local people and learn their way of life as you enjoy their norms, craftwork, and traditional performances.

Day 4: Kigali to Zanzibar.

This day after your breakfast you will leave Nyungwe forest and embark on a short drive, about three hours heading to Kigali city. There will be a short city tour in Kigali (if time allows) and a lunch break as you proceed to the airport for a transfer to Zanzibar through Kenya. You will be picked on arrival in Zanzibar and transfer to the beautiful south coast.

Day 5: Explore Zanzibar’s south coast.

You will wake up at leisure this day and have your breakfast and choose on how to spend your entire day relaxed at the beautiful stretch of the entire beach reading a book. The beautiful palm trees provide a beautiful shade for you to relax as you read a book or just watching the fresh waters of the beach.

The pool is also available if you wish to swim there or still you can swim in the fresh water of the Indian Ocean.

Day 6: Snorkeling / Diving at Zanzibar Island.

After the morning breakfast you will arrange for a diving experience and you will also have a chance to sail the traditional dhow that takes you to the banks. You will also spend a few hours watching the Marine life at this Island and end your day in style.

Day 7: Visit the spice farms.

After the morning breakfast, you will head out for a visit to the spice farms on the Zanzibar Island. The Island is famously known for the spices produced here. You will have a chance to go to the small scale spice farms therein and learn how this is done daily. Return to the lodge later to have some rest.

Day 8: Jozani Forest

The day starts with a nice breakfast at the lodge before heading out for the day’s activities. You will start your day with a visit to the Jozani Forest located in the center of the Island. Jozani Forest is home to the red Kirk’s colobus monkey a unique specie common to the Island. You will have a chance to watch them playing and feeding on the Island. Return for lunch and then spend the rest of the evening relaxing our feet in the beach sand.

Day 9: Stone Town excursion.

After the morning breakfast, you will have a visit to the stone town whole day. The stone town is located on the west coast offering a rich colonial / Asian city exploration and the East African slave trade history. You will later have an opportunity to purchase a few souvenirs to depart with back home.

Day 10: Departure

After the morning breakfast at the lodge, you will be driven across the Island and be led to the airport to catchup with your final exit flight.

After, transfer to Tarangire National Park, about 2-3 hours’ drive. Get to the lodge early and enjoy lunch then prepare for evening game drive. This will reward you with clear sight of Tarangire’s wildlife including buffaloes, lions, leopards, impalas, zebras, elephants, birds. Retreat from your game drive in Tarangire and have a relaxed evening, dinner and comfortable stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Whole day exploring Tarangire National Park

Have a leisurely cup of tea or coffee and later, embark on a long day wildlife experience in Tarangire National Park. Today, you will have opportunity to spot diversity of wildlife, birds and other attractions like Tarangire River that make Tarangire National Park an outstanding Tanzania safari destination. You will retreat from the morning game viewing experience to have lunch and relax a little at the lodge. After, you will have an afternoon game drive to explore not only wildlife but also scenic beauty of Tarangire National Park.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Get up and enjoy your morning breakfast. Check out of your lodge and then be driven to Serengeti National Park. This will come with en-route game drive in Tarangire. Arrive at Serengeti National Park early and have lunch at the lodge. In the evening, you will go enjoy a game drive to sight wildlife species as they rush to their places for the night including buffaloes, elephants, lions, rhinos, birds, giraffes, zebras, hartebeest.

Day 4: Whole day in Serengeti

Rise up early to have a hefty breakfast and later, meet your guide ready to set off for a morning game drive along the savanna plains of Serengeti National Park. Expect to come across lions, birds, elephants, leopards and others. Get back for lunch and later, go continue with a game drive to spot more wildlife including wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, Kudus, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater exploration & transfer to Arusha

Wake up for an early morning cup tea or coffee at the lodge. After, transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with optional stop at Ol Duvai Gorge. Have lunch and head to the Ngorongoro Crater to sight wildlife like lions, leopards, zebras, cheetahs, hartebeest.  After your exploration and photography, drive to Arusha to check into your hotel or lodge.

Day 6: Fly from Tanzania to Rwanda

Breakfast early in the morning and after, drive to the airport to take a flight to Kigali International Airport in Rwanda. Meet your driver guide for transfer to the hotel/lodge for dinner and night stay in Kigali.

Day 7: Kigali city tour & drive to Volcanoes National Park

Enjoy your early morning cup of tea or coffee at the hotel in Kigali and after, go for city trip. This will include enjoying the stunning views of hills, various attractions in and around Kigali capital city for instance visit Gisozi genocide centre, Kimironko market.

After about 2 hours enjoying Kigali city tour, get lunch then be transferred to Ruhengeri where Volcanoes National Park is situated. Here check in at your gorilla safari lodge for evening relaxation, dinner and comfortable stay.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking

Leave your lodge after breakfast to be briefed about gorilla trekking etiquette at Volcanoes national park headquarters. Today, make sure you go with some snacks, bottle of drinking water and be on right attire. The official from Volcanoes National Park will allocate to you a gorilla family and park guide.

Begin trekking to view mountain gorillas at 8:00am through natural habitat characterized by bamboo and steep slopes taking you about 2-6 hours. On finding a gorilla group, you will be permitted to have a close interaction with mountain gorillas for only 1 hour. Thereafter, get back to relax at the lodge and in the evening, pay a visit to Iby’Iwacu village for cultural experience.

Day 9: Drive to Nyungwe Forest from Ruhengeri

Have a leisurely breakfast and after, leave Ruhengeri for Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will have en-route stop at Lake Kivu and later, go for lunch before driving to Nyungwe to check in at the lodge.

Day 10: Chimpanzee tracking & return to Kigali

Wake up for an early morning cup of tea or coffee and after, briefing at Nyungwe park offices on guidelines for chimp trekking. You will start your chimp trek at 8:00am with park guide and this will take about 2-4 hours on a trek. But what is amazing, you won’t only come across chimpanzees but also other species of primates especially owl-faced monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, L’Hoest monkeys, vervet monkey plus birds, flora.

You will be allowed 1 to spend with chimpanzees and you walk back to the lodge to check out. Drive to Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda where you will have lunch. If time still allows, pay a visit to historical sites like genocide memorial centres, craft shops and you will be dropped to a hotel.
