This 3 Days Arusha Wildlife Safari will take you to the home of Mount Meru with a height of 4,565m, Ngurdoto craters and Momella lakes. The park will give you the best views of Mount Kilimanjaro as compared to any place in Tanzania. It will also take you to Ngorongoro crater via Lake Manyara national park which is a famous hub for tree climbing lions and soda ash. The tour will involve you into both walking safaris and game drives.
Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Arusha national park and walking safari in mid-morning.
On the first day of your trip, you will be picked from the hotel by our company representative who will transfer you to Arusha national park. The park homes Mount Meru which is the second-highest mountain in Tanzania, alkaline shallow Momella Lake, Ngurdoto crater and it cover area of 137sq.kms.
On the arrival at the Arusha National Park, you will take a mid-morning walking safari in the park that will offer you an encounter with the wild game which is so common such as giraffes, cape buffalos, warthogs, zebras, primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys among others. The walking safari will also take you Ngurdoto crater rim, or to Meru crater on Njeku viewing point. The walk can take 2-4hours depending on the trail and speed used.
Day 2: Ngorongoro craters and Game drive in the afternoon.
You will have your breakfast and head to the vehicle such that you can visit the Ngorongoro craters. They are found in the Ngorongoro conservation area in western Arusha, and the Ngorongoro crater is a largest volcanic caldera within an area. The visit will offer you several animals such as the African buffaloes, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, elands, Thomson’s gazelles among others.
In the afternoon after lunch, take a game drive in the park to look for more game on the eastern road of the park. It will take you to Momella which has abundant wildlife such as the buffalos, giraffes, monkeys and also lions and leopards can rarely be spotted.
Day 3: Transfer back to Arusha via Lake Manyara.
On this day, you will be winding up finishing the tour but you will pass through Lake Manyara in which you will encounter the tree-climbing lions, flamingos and soda ash. Also spot other wildlife such as warthogs, buffalos, impalas, and wildebeest among others. You will continue with the journey to Arusha which was a starting and making an endpoint hence the end of your 3 Days Arusha Wildlife Safari.
