Thereafter, have a city tour around Kigali city visiting the Genocide memorial ground, have lunch and proceed with the Journey to Gisenyi, with a drive through a very scenic route overshadowed by the scenic views of the rolling hills of Virunga ranges, valleys, and plantations. The 3-4-hour journey crosses Goma Boarder point, arriving at the park in the evening for refreshment, dinner, and overnight.
Day Two: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
wake up early in the morning, pack your cameras, clad on long trousers and long shirt, good hiking boats, sufficient water, and gloves to protect you from stinging nettles and head to the park for a pre-trekking briefing that commences at 7am local time, where the guide will explain to you how to conduct yourself while in the park, as well as verifying your travel documents.
Thereafter, head to the jungle to locate these creatures, following their footprints and the broken tree branches, for approximately 3-6 hours with one hour closely observing these creatures. We know this will end when you so exhausted, so, return to the lodge to refresh, photography and any other activity as you wait to have dinner and overnight.
