Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Entebbe – Kampala
Today board your flight to Uganda. Arrival Entebbe: You will be met on arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transferred to your accommodation in Kampala.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi
Enjoy an early breakfast in preparation for the long drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Make a stop over at the equator before proceeding through the western flat lands of Mbarara. The scenic hills of Kabale welcome you to a whole new region, Kigezi. Enter the Bwindi forest and check into your lodge for the night.
Day 3: Bwindi gorilla trekking
At 07:15 you shall be served with breakfast and your guide will lead you to the briefing ground to get the briefing at 8.00am before entry to the forest for gorilla trekking, and later in the afternoon guided village walk to learn how the communities around the Bwindi Park are benefiting from the tourism of the area; this is an ideal short walk. Retiring for overnight later, overnight.
Day 4: Bwindi forest National Park – Kibale forest National park
Early departure after your breakfast in the morning at 7:00am from Bwindi gorilla National park to Kibale forest national park via Queen Elizabeth National Park, opportunity to see tree climbing lions and many more antelopes as the drive goes on. Lunch shall be later on arrival in Fort portal town and an afternoon Nature walk to the crater lakes Check in to your hotel for Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Kibale National Park
Early morning at 07:15am (if you are to stay in Fort portal town then breakfast is at 06:00am) you will have breakfast then leave to Kibale forest National Park headquarters for briefing before you enter in this beautiful forest for chimpanzee tracking. Other primates like the L’hoestes, Colobus, Blues, Red-tailed monkey and grey cheeked Mangabey swinging through the dense forest and several bird species, butterflies and many small insects, can be seen before you return back for lunch. An opportunity to reach Biggodi for a swamp walk the area is run by the community as away to preserve and save animals in the Kibale forest, You shall then return for dinner and overnight at or Primate lodge in Kibale Forest National park.
Day 6: Kibale National Park – Kampala
After your breakfast at 08:00am, If you still have time in the day, a brief visit to the Tooro Kingdoms palace, built on top of the hill attracting views of the Rwenzori ranges and Fort portal town, proceed then to Kampala via Mubende with a lunch stop en route before arriving to Kampala if you are staying here or transfer to catch your flight back home.
