3 Days Samburu Wildlife Safari Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi-Samburu national Reserve
Depart to the northern sector of Kenya to Samburu national reserve which is in the semi-desert areas. The distance covered is 318km hence taking 6-7hours drive but this depends on the speed and the conditions of the road. The reserve covers an area 165sq.km, it has the big three cats I.e. lions, cheetah and leopards. Other animals seen in this par are kirks dik-dik, impalas, waterbucks, elephants, cape buffalos, grant’s gazelles among others. On the arrival, you will check in your accommodation facility.
Day 2: Samburu National Reserve – Full day game drive
Have your picnic lunch box with you and head for a full day game drive after a spiced heavy breakfast. Head to Ewaso Ng’iro River, which is an ideal place for game viewing where you will spot hippos, dik-dik, impalas, waterbucks, elephants, cape buffalos, grant’s gazelles among. Also, you will view birds such as tawny eagle, yellow-billed hornbill, Vulturine guineafowl, bee-eaters, various vultures such as palm nut vultures, among others.
Day 3: Travel back to Nairobi
You will take a short game drive through the park after your breakfast as you try to spot animals such as lions, cheetahs Hyenas among others. You will transfer back to Nairobi a journey taking about 5 hours’ drive. On the arrival, you will be dropped at the hotel/airport and this will be the end of your 3 Days Samburu Wildlife Safari.
