6 Days Gorillas and Wildlife tour Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park.
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet and greet your drive guide from our company, who will brief you on the itinerary. You will then setoff for a full day drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park located in southwestern Uganda. You will have a brief stop at Uganda equator, for photographs and refreshment and proceed to Mbarara for enroute lunch. Various stopovers to buy roadside foods, roasted maize, muchomo and fruits make this journey more interesting. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening and rest for the next days adventure.
Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking & Batwa community tour.
Your great day of trekking gorillas is finally here! Rise up early, have heavy breakfast and with your packed lunch transfer to the respective park headquarters for pre gorilla trekking briefing and registration. At 8:00am, start the hike into the jungle to meet the endangered gorillas. The trekking adventure last for 2 to 7 hours depending on where gorillas will be located that day. However, you are very sure of meeting the endangered gorillas at the end of the trek.
Upon meeting them, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their company, take pictures, capture videos and enjoy this once in lifetime experience. The human like characters of mountain gorillas will amaze you! In the evening, visit Batwa pygmy communities to learn about their traditional forest life.
Day 3: Transfer back to Entebbe airport and fly to Arusha – Tanzania.
Enjoy your morning sleep to dodge the coldness in Bwindi, wakeup at sunrise and have a delicious breakfast, prepared by experienced chef as you watch the clearing fog over the forest canopy. Thereafter, check out and begin a 7-hour drive to Entebbe airport via Masaka – Mbarara highway. Connect to Entebbe International airport for your outbound regional flight to Arusha, northern Tanzania.
Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National park & Evening game drive.
After morning breakfast, check out and drive through Arusha town transferring to Serengeti National park. The scenic drive via trading centers, rolling hills, open savannahs and local farms is enjoyable. You will have an evening game drive to catch-up with wild animals feeding before retiring for day rests.
Day 5: Full day game viewing & Community visit.
This whole day is for game viewing in Serengeti National park. Wake up early and go for a full day game drive in the savannahs of the Park. You will see lots of wild animals feeding browsing / grazing while predators hunt down their prey. Among the animals you will see include Elephants, Lions, Wildebeest, Cheetahs, Giraffes, Rhinos, Leopards, Waterbucks, Elands, Warthogs, Hippos and Buffalos among others.
Enjoy the bush breakfast and picnic lunch in the middle of the wilderness as you watch wild animals feeding few meters from you. In the evening, visit local communities adjacent to the park to meet and interact with the indigenous dwellers of the park. You will learn and enjoy the traditions, norms and customs of Tanzania local people and take part in their traditional dances to make the whole experience more fun and enjoyable.
Day 6: Nature Walk & Departure.
Have an optional morning nature walk to explore Serengeti on foot! Nature walk also helps you discover some small ground animals you may have missed on your game drives the previous day. Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out and transfer to Arusha for your connecting flight. This will mark the end of your 6 Days Gorillas and Wildlife tour.
