5 Days Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru Safari itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi – Transfer to Masai Mara National reserve.
Upon your arrival Kenyatta International Airport, a professional happy driver guide representing our company will welcome you. He/she will briefly introduce you to the flow of the itinerary and thereafter embark on a drive via Nairobi city headed to Masai Mara National Park located in the southwestern part of Kenya.
Enjoy this 6 hours drive via the Great Rift Valley and the Narok town where you will stop for a lunch break. Dinner and overnight stay in Masai Mara Park.
Day 2: Full day game viewing.
This whole day is for game viewing to see and interact with all kinds of wild animals in Masai Mara plains. Rise up early and drive to open savannahs to catch up with with early risers feeding. You will have a bush breakfast along wild animals hunting and grazing near you.
Drive to different corners of the park to Mara River where animals gather for drinking water. Expect to see numerous wild animals such as Zebras, Elephants, Buffalos, Giraffes, Hippos, Black rhinos, Wildebeests, Lions, Cheetahs, and impalas among others.
You will have picnic lunch under the tree shade in the wilderness and you see wild animals resting. An evening game drive offers you chance to catch-up with animals you might have missed in the day. September and October is the best time for watching the great wildebeest migration. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Visit Masai cultural villages & transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Wake up early, ha e breakfast and transfer to Masai cultural villages to learn the traditions, norms and belief of Masai people. Spend some time with these indigenous people, experience their local life and be part of it.
Traditional dances, songs and poems will be performed to entertain and introduce you to their cultures. Return to the lodge for early lunch, check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Day 4: Full day in Lake Nakuru.
Spend this whole day enjoying the beauty of Lake Nakuru National park also known as the “birders paradise”. Drive to Lake Nakuru, which hosts thousands of greater and lesser pink flamingoes and other terrestrial birds. Also, enjoy guided game drive through the park, which offer you great views of numerous wild animals such as Lions, Buffalos, waterbucks, black rhinos, wildebeests and zebras among others.
Bush breakfast and picnic lunch along wild animals makes the whole experience magical. If time allows, visit the Makalia waterfalls and the lion hill ridge for spectacular views.
Day 5: Morning game drive & Departure.
Wakeup up very early and go for optional morning game drive to see animals, which you missed the previous days. Enjoy a relaxed hot coffee at your lodge, check out and drive to Nairobi for your connecting flight.
