Day 4: Primate trekking at Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park.

At daybreak, you will enjoy a relaxed breakfast meal at the lodge, and then head for an exciting encounter with the red Columbus monkeys in their habitat at Jozani chwaka bay; the only national park present on the island. Tracking starts with briefing and document verification, before the ultimate adventure, through the Jungle, with several residents happily co-existing in the same territories.

You will enjoy the different sounds and sights of birds and monkeys such as the rare Columbus monkeys; not easily anywhere in the continent of Africa. Before exiting the park, you will also visit the Persian bath tab, to prove the line that existed between the nobles and the peasants at that time. Day 5: Prison Island and Forodhani Garden market.

After enjoying a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, you will head to the prison Island to uncover the historical facts about it and the beauty. The prison island is one of the major tourist attractions in the island, because of what transpired there during the slave trade error.

It was where the slaves were arrested and tortured. You will be shown the pieces of evidence of the slaves in form of chains and many more present, before you head for Lunch. Day 6: Full day birding experience.

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a full-day exciting birding experience. The expert guides will take you to sites with several bird species, to identify the different residents present, learn of their uniqueness and grow in knowledge.

Day 7: Full day spice plantation Tour and cultural adventure.

Day 1: Transfer to a hotel upon arrival at Entebbe Airport

Take a flight up-to Entebbe International Airport and upon early arrival, meet your driver guide for transfer to a hotel.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park

Have a delicious cup of tea or coffee and after, set off from your hotel to Murchison Falls National Park in Northwestern Uganda. In a pop-up roof Van/Land cruiser, you will have en-route visit at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola where you will track rhinos. After, proceed to Murchison Falls for evening game drive and later, get dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Game drive & Launch trip

Breakfast early in the morning and after, go explore Murchison Falls National Park’s pristine savannas on a morning game drive. You will come across the Rothschild giraffes, lions, Uganda Kobs, Jackson’s Hartebeest, oribis, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, birds and others. Retreat from the 2-3 hours’ wildlife viewing tour and have lunch. In the afternoon, expect to embark on a boat/launch cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Day 4: Visit Kibale Forest National Park

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking & nature walks in Bigodi

After breakfast, you will be briefed by park official about chimpanzee tracking guidelines at Kanyanchu Visitor Centre. The 2-4 chimpanzee trek begins at 8:00am once you have been allocated park guide. You will also come across many other species of primates, birds while on search for chimpanzees. You will enjoy a complete 1 hour with chimpanzees and also take many photos.

Get back to the lodge in Kibale to relax and be served lunch. Later, you will go for Bigodi nature walk. This is a rewarding swamp walk offering you opportunity to sight diversity of primates, birds plus other mammals.

Day 6: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and after, travel to Bwindi via Fort Portal then drive through Ishasha to spot the tree climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at the lodge you booked in Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking

After a cup of tea or coffee, assemble at Bwindi offices where you will meet official and other trekkers. You will be briefed on gorilla trekking rules, assigned a gorilla group (Bwindi has a total of 20 habituated gorilla families available for gorilla trekking) and the park guide to lead on a gorilla trek. Actual search for gorillas starts at 8:00am and can take 2-6 hours which includes 1 hour for photo taking and learning about their behaviors. Get back after gorilla trek to chill at the lodge and you will pay a visit to the Batwa community.

Day 8: Transfer to Zanzibar

Have a hefty breakfast and after, drive to Kihihi/Kisoro airstrip where you will fly back to Entebbe airport. From Entebbe airport, take a flight to Zanzibar.

Day 9: Tour spice farm

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Stone Town.

Day 2: Stone town tour.

After a relaxed spacious breakfast, get into the safari vehicle and hit the road to explore the mighty, historical and cultural Stone Town. The town is a UNESCO heritage site due to its richness in culture. It’s the oldest city of Zanzibar with lots of historical sites to visit and explore. 6 Days Zanzibar Island Holiday itinerary.

Day 1: Airport/seaport arrival.

Meet and greet with your guide on arrival at Abeid Amani international airport of Zanzibar and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at your booked resort hotel. Depending on the time you have after arrival, you may visit the Forohahi gardens in the evening to relax and chill from a long flight.

Day 2: Stone Town tour.

Learn about the different spices, herbs and fruits and how they are used as natural healing medicine. Take lunch and visit the prison island as you proceed to Nungwi beach. Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar.

When you arrive during the day, you shouldn’t waste any time. So, after relaxing, you will proceed for Stone town where ancient buildings and forts beckon. Day 1: Arrival at Kigali:
You will arrive at the Kigali international Airport where you will meet and greet with your tour guide and transfer to your Hotel in Kigali to check in if your arrival is in the morning. In the afternoon you will go for a city tour, the Capital city offers you the chance to discover some tourism here as you drive around the busy town where you learn the history of the town from the colonial era to democracy, from slums to the suburbs.

Day 2: Kigali City – Nyungwe Forest National park
After an early morning breakfast, proceed to the south province enroute visit to the Royal Palace at Nyanza, and visit the National Museum known as one of the best ethnographic museums in East and Central Africa located in Huye district, if time allows, arrange a performance of Intore dance troupe, before proceeding to Nyungwe forest, a 3 hours drive from Huye district. Nyungwe forest national park extends a 1000 km². It is the largest afro-Montane forest in East and Central Africa and one of the most ancient, dating back to before the Ice Age. Arrive for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Visit Nyungwe National Park
After an early morning breakfast, we will be transferred to the national park headquarters for briefing by the park rangers before departing to hike in search for chimpanzees, and later on return for dinner and overnight

After lunch take a scenic drive to view the two twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo, returning later for dinner and overnight at a Hotel in Kinigi.

Day 10: Hike of Bisoke Mountain
After early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the national park headquarters for being briefed by the park rangers before departing for the hike of Bisoke Mountain, dinner and overnight; at a Hotel in Kinigi.

Day 11: Gorilla trekking at Parc de Volcanoes
After an early morning breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes national park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers before; trek through the tropical Virunga rainforest in search of the rare mountain gorilla. Carry your lots of water, study walking shoes, water-proof warm clothing, sun-screen, insect-repellant and a hat. A no-flush camera is recommended because you will come up close with these gentle giants. The park ranger guides will make your 3 – 6 hour trek both educative and enjoyable. The excursion in a thick rain forest and the interaction with the mountain ape, gives a wonderful experience in life. After the visit have lunch in Musanze then drive to Kigali and overnight at a hotel in Kingali.

Day 12: Transfer to Akagera National Park
After an early morning breakfast, proceed to Akagera National Park which lies in the east, where the countryside gives way to a savannah, with clusters of acacia mingled with open grassland. The scenery is dominated by a labyrinth of swamps and lakes that follow the meandering course of the Akagera River, believed to be the most remote source of the Nile.

The park boasts of a unique ‘spring like climate’ which makes safaris to this area exceptionally pleasant. Once in the park, drive to the national park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers before starting the game drive. The National Park is a better place for safaris with its Complex mix of terrains, marshlands, lakes, vegetation, animal life, and the conducive; spring like climate and offers an enchanting, adventures and environment. You can meet big mammals such as zebras, buffaloes, antelope, Giraffes or elephants. Overnight; at a Hotel in Akagera

Day 13: Activities at Akagera National Park
After the breakfast, drive towards Rusomo, and then detour to the village of Nyakarambi. The local cooperative produces a distinctively Rwandan craft of cow dung paintings; dominated by black, brown, and white whorls and other geometric abstraction, these unique and earthy works make a wonderful souvenir. It is also is interesting to see how the paintings are reflected in the local house decorations. If time allows and the weather favours you, you will be transferred to the national park headquarters and also does a boat cruise on Lake Ihema. After the cruise drive back to Kigali and overnight at a hotel in Kigali

Day 14: Kigali-Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, go for a tour down town and do any last- minute shopping; transfer to the Airport, in the afternoon, to catch the flight. This will mark the end of your 14 Days Grand Tour of Rwanda.
