In this one-day tour, you will trek the only remaining Rhinos in the wild at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary with several other attractions such as the crocodiles, antelopes like the bush bucks, Uganda kobs, oribis species of birds, warthogs, among others.
Lunch will be at Kabalega dinner and a stopover in Luwero for stretching and learn more about the history about the liberation war of 1980s.
You will set off on Kampala-Gulu highway after a cup of coffee in a hotel in Kampala and get your stop over to stretch up and purchase fruits like, pineapples, yellow bananas, watermelons among others in Luwero town 68km north of Kampala.
Luwero district is well known for the liberation wars that occurred in the 1980s and later, proceed to Nakasongola the place famous for cattle keepers. Here you will see various cattle as they graze in their farms.
Branch off at Nakitoma to the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, driving on a marram road for less than 20 minutes. upon arrival, you will have short information about the sanctuary and head to trek the rhinos in the sanctuary which can take only 2hours. If you are lucky enough, you will spot other animals such as the Uganda kobs, oribis, bushbucks, duikers, warthogs, hippos among others.
After this memorable trek, you will move to Kabalega diners or Amuka Safari Lodge for hot lunch and travel back to Kampala which will mark the end of a one-day tour to Ziwa rhino sanctuary.
